Our Cooking Classes welcome participants from the complete novice through to the experienced enthusiast. Your private cooking class is designed completely around you! We offer the opportunity for a convenient and personalised approach to learning how to cook. We work with you to create a menu based on what’s in season, your tastes and interests. Learn how to cook the foods you love to eat in the relaxing environment of Stroudover Cottage.

Working with ‘Mine Host’, Executive Chef and Professional Culinary Educator Patrick Reubinson, in a totally hands-on and personal experience, you and he will prepare your chosen dinner menu.

Learn some amazing kitchen secrets, tips, recipes, and the best part is that you get to sit down and eat a sumptuous dinner in the evening!

Classes run from 9.00am until 4.30pm for a maximum of four guests.

Patrick, thank you so much for such a lovely weekend. It was wonderful to spend time in the company of someone who is both passionate about food and such a good (and patient!) teacher.

Chris and I had a terrific time foraging and then preparing the results. And the meal last night – wow!

Just spent a fabulous long weekend at this fantastic cottage learning many cooking techniques and then eating the wonderful recipes that had been lovingly compiled for us to enjoy. Many thanks to Patrick for being so free with his expertise and time. I would have no hesitation in recommending this experience to anyone.

We had a fabulously fantastic weekend at Stroudover. With welcoming hosts, a warming fire and scenic views we were relaxed at once. With the wonderful canapés and champagne on the Friday night, we thought it could not get any better. With two days of meeting those who grew the food and foraging for our vegetables and nuts and seafood and cooking classes we had an absolute blast. An amazing Vindaloo with Pilaf rice on Saturday night, we were starting to think we did not want to leave. We have learnt a great deal about cooking techniques that we are looking forward to trying out on our friends and family. Generous with time, food and knowledge. Sunday night we still cannot believe the incredible four course meal that we helped make… We have the photos to prove it to our friends and family! We appreciate all your generous knowledge and patience with us in the Kitchen. We also got to take away some great tips for training our dog who is now starting to respond to hand commands! Extremely good value for money and would highly recommend anyone to visit, I have no doubt Patrick and Heike can accommodate the fussiest of requirements to make your weekend perfect.
