The Cottage

c253fb82aeStroudover Cottage features raked ceilings, wood wainscoting in the lounge/dining area, tiled floors throughout, ceiling fans in each room, a Eureka wood-burning stove for those chilly nights, and a Mitsubishi airconditioner for the hot ones. There is also a radio/CD player, a TV with digital reception and DVD player, and numerous books and games for our guests’ entertainment.

Large north-facing windows, one with a glass sliding door out to the verandah, provide stunning views of the mountains. When the sun shines, a 5kW solar power generation system supplies clean, green electricity to the cottage; and solar panels on the roof provide your hot water from the 20,000 litre rainwater tank. It is most wonderful to drink, although some bottled drinking water is provided for those who prefer it.
